Charlie Peters

Executive vice president and chief financial officer

Charlie Peters brings to Red Hat® more than 30 years of financial leadership, including 20 years in publicly traded companies. Peters formerly held the position of chief financial officer with multinational Burlington Industries.

From 1991 to 1995, Peters was senior vice president, Finance, at Boston Edison Company, a NYSE-listed $1.5 billion electric power company serving the Boston area. Prior to that, for 6 years he served as chief financial officer at GenRad, Inc., a NYSE-listed multinational manufacturer of scientific test equipment.

Peters began his career with Price Waterhouse in 1973, serving in Boston and London in the audit division and is also a certified public accountant.
