This webinar is the latest session in the Intelligent, Integrated Enterprise webinar series.
In 2011, a global financial services company needed to expand several critical business processes andimprove their availability while integrating with corresponding legacy systems. This company chose JBoss Enterprise SOA Platform (ESB) for integration and business process expansion.
Since the new processes were designed for a much higher up-time than the legacy processes, the company needed to develop robust and consistent error handling processes that could account for partial failures and asymmetric downtime, as well as other unexpected errors. The Red Hat consulting team was able to help this client design, implement, and test a template for reliably handling errors in a clear, reusable manner.
In this case study presentation, Brad Davis, lead Red Hat Consultant on the project, will present a series of JBoss Enterprise SOA Platform (ESB) design patterns than can be used for custom error handling for ESB action pipelines. Discussion points will include:
- creating an ESB service using a custom Maven archetype
- adapting the service input using a file adapter
- how Smooks can be used to split a CSV file into multiple XML records, including validation
- exception handling of invalid records
