About ISPA ISPA was established in 1995 to represent ISPs in the UK and to
promote the interests of the UK Internet industry. Since its creation, ISPA has
argued for self-regulation to allow this technological, fast moving industry to
progress and expand without the hindrance of unnecessary legislation.

ISPA has developed a Code of Practice for ISPs, which address service quality
and the issue of illegal material on the Internet. The UK Government and
European Commission have publically commended ISPA's efforts in this area.
