Red Hat Enterprise Linux endorsed by LSI Logic and leading EDA software suppliers

Red Hat, an Associate Member of the EDA Consortium, released Red Hat Enterprise Linux v. 3 with a common code base on seven hardware architectures including x86, Itanium 2, and Opteron in October 2003. Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS is the enterprise-class client intended for workstation use in historically Unix-heavy markets, such as EDA. Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS has been regarded as a high- performance, cost-effective solution for compute-intensive workloads.
