Phil Andrews named regional director, United Kingdom and Ireland
Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), the world's leading provider of open source solutions, today announced the appointment of Phil Andrews as regional director for the United Kingdom and Ireland. Andrews will lead sales and channel operations in the region, building on Red Hat's recent successes in the UK and Ireland and developing its current customer base, which includes NYSE Euronext, Specsavers and Learndirect.
Andrews brings more than 20 years of IT sales and marketing leadership experience to Red Hat. “Phil is an important investment in our European executive team and we are delighted to have him on board as our regional director for the UK and Ireland”, stated Werner Knoblich, vice president and general manager of Europe, Middle East and Africa. “We continue to see significant demand for Red Hat's open source offerings and Phil's track record will prove invaluable in helping Red Hat to continue its growth.”
“This is an exciting time to join Red Hat, the company has a well earned reputation as the clear leader in the open source market and I look forward to playing a vital role in the continued success of its European business”, said Andrews.
