Unconventional Linux

Tom "spot" Callaway

Most people think of Linux as an OS for the x86 architecture, but Linux can run on many other, less conventional architectures, from the smallest embedded devices to the largest mainframe super-servers. This session will discuss some of the places that Linux lives that you may not know about, and more specifically, the ways that Fedora is expanding with architectures beyond x86 and x86_64. Tom Callaway will also be talking about his experiences with Linux/SPARC and the Aurora SPARC Linux Project, as it works towards merging with Fedora.
