Certificates of Expertise
The expertise exams were created as part of the Red Hat® Certified Architect (RHCA) certification program. Red Hat considers each Certificate of Expertise a worthy credential in its own right. It brings greater recognition and value to a Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE®) who passes any of these challenging exams.
Certificates of Expertise are upper-level credentials awarded to an RHCE who has passed upper-level performance-based expertise exams. The certificates are incremental credentials attached to an RHCE certification and demonstrate that the IT professional has skills and knowledge in specialized areas.
Certification program requirements:
-
Only a current RHCE is eligible to earn a Certificate of Expertise.
-
There are 7 Certificates of Expertise:
-
Red Hat Enterprise Security: Network Services Expertise Exam (EX333)
-
Red Hat Enterprise Deployment and Systems Management Expertise Exam (EX401)
-
Red Hat Enterprise Clustering and Storage Management Expertise Exam (EX436)
-

All expertise exams are performance-based, meaning that candidates must perform tasks on a live system, rather than answering questions about how one might perform those tasks.
-
The hands-on nature of these exams make real-world experience a critical facet of preparation.
-
Earning an Certificate of Expertise can extend a current window of an RHCE certification earned on Red Hat Enterprise Linux® 6 technology. See recertification policies for more information regarding current window for all credentials.
