IBM Open Client Solution for Linux Desktop (Lotus Notes 8.0, ST 7.5 Client, IBM Productivity Editors)

Drop into the IBM lab area for about 45 minutes to experimentthe latest with the IBM Open Client. The goal of the drop-in lab is to show you how to be more productive with Email, Applications, Browsers, Editors, Sametime Instant messaging (with loads of cool features) and Calendaring all present in one place. The lab includes new the Lotus Notes UI, new vertical view for the emails and Message recall functions. The Technology is built on Lotus Expeditor which is built on open source eclipse. Productivity Editors are integrated for ease of use. In this demo you'll see how individual components from multiple sources Lotus Domino, Sametime Server, etc. can be "wired" together in a rich client environment (Louts Notes 8.0) to build powerful, multi-sourced solution. Lotus Notes 8.0 also houses Composite and SOA Application possibilities.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux on System z: From Planning to Production

Linux for System z has generated a lot of excitement among System z customers. However, for many this is a new and strange environment. This workshop will provide an opportunity to install and configure Red Hat Enterprise Linux for System z in a z/VM virtual machine. The hands on portion of this workshop will be self paced, and result in a Linux for System z server running Apache, Samba, DNS (BIND), and a firewall .
