This spring the Free Software Foundation released new version 3 to the ubiquitous GNU General Public License. Designed to address new issues in copyright and patent related to software that have arisen in the past 15 years, GPLv3 is the result of more than a year of discussion, review, and revision by a worldwide community of users. This session will explain how GPLv3 differs from GPLv2 and the advantages to the new licensing model.
