Red Hat Messaging is a new open source project. The goal, to build the leading enterprise messaging middleware distribution. Messaging is a crucial component of enterprise and high-performance computing, SOA deployments, and platform services. Today's enterprise messaging systems are primarily proprietary, incompatible between vendors, expensive, and never fast enough. Red Hat Messaging targets these issues to deliver an open, fast, and reliable messaging solution. Red Hat Messaging implements the Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP) for standardized, open messaging. It supports multiple platforms and languages, including Linux, Windows, Unix, Java, and .NET and provides the fastest, reliable messaging across all platforms. On Linux, Red Hat Messaging will integrate with the Linux kernel to deliver a new level of performance. Red Hat Messaging supports the highest quality of service and forms the basis for becoming a standard Linux service for supporting features like virtualization, security, grid computing, and distributed operating system services.
