Over the past year a battle has been waged within national standards bodies throughout the world over whether to recommend approval of the Microsoft OOXML (Office Open XML) standard. The participants in the battle included small and large companies, government leaders, and international standards bodies. All of the panel members were active participants in the battle over OOXML and will share unique "behind the scenes" stories about what really happened. The panelists will also share their perspectives on who actually won the OOXML battle and give us a hint of what to expect in the coming months in the ongoing battle over open standards.
