MRG Grid

MRG Grid provides High Throughput and High Performance computing. With MRG Grid, enterprises can achieve both higher peak computing capacity and higher IT utilization by leveraging their existing infrastructure to build high performance grids.

High Throughput Computing (HTC) delivers large amounts of computing power over a sustained period of time, whereas High Performance Computing (HPC) delivers significant computing power over a short period of time. MRG Grid provides value across both HTC and HPC by offering features like:

  • Scalability for computing the largest workloads
  • Powerful and easy-to-use management capabilities
  • The ability to cycle-steal from desktop workstations and schedule to remote grids for additional computing power

Future versions of MRG Grid will leverage MRG Messaging and MRG Realtime to provide new capabilities like:

  • Optimized realtime scheduling with qualities of service (QoS)
  • Message-based job submission
