The Red Hat Appliance Operating System is being planned.
ISVs interested in participating in Red Hat's Appliance program are encouraged to visit the development site at thincrust.org to stay on top of the most recent news and activities.
The Red Hat Appliance Operating System will enable ISVs to distribute their applications pre-packaged as complete solutions, simplifying deployment, management and maintenance for their end users.
The Red Hat Appliance Operating System offering will include the Virtual Appliance Development Kit (vADK) that allows ISVs to configure the operating system, middleware and applications to produce a single system image. This can then be deployed on multiple virtualization platforms as well as in software-as-a-service "cloud" deployments.
