Colin’s research in the Corporate Banking practice draws on a career at the intersection of global banking business and technology. Based in Chicago, his focus includes corporate digital channels, treasury and cash management products, technology modernization, and managing data as a foundation for analytics and AI.

Colin’s experience has been forged at global banks and technology firms in Europe and the United States. Before joining Celent in 2022, Colin was a technology executive for digital channels at Bank of America, where he led the development of digital cash management and analytics solutions for global transaction banking.

As an industry solutions director for worldwide financial services at Microsoft, Colin successfully developed banking industry growth strategies at a time when technology vendors and banks began transitioning to cloud computing.
Colin’s career started in the UK with a progression of operations, product management, and technology development roles at HSBC, a vendor of wholesale banking solutions, and ABN AMRO Bank’s Global Transaction Services group in North America.

Colin holds a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) accreditation from the Association for Financial Professionals and often contributes to industry publications and conferences worldwide.

Prior to joining Red Hat, he led large, digital transformation projects at Goldman Sachs’ Investment Management Division and was co-founder/CTO of several FinTechs in equity and FX trading.
