5G technology has ushered in a new era of connectivity—demanding speed, reliability, and innovation. To meet these challenges, providers need flexible, scalable platforms to deploy 5G radio access networks (RAN) and core solutions while managing their existing infrastructure. Red Hat OpenShift has become a leading foundation for hybrid cloud deployments, combining cloud-native agility with carrier-grade performance. This talk will cover the roadmap for Red Hat OpenShift in the context of telecommunications network deployments. It will also detail how Red Hat OpenStack Services on OpenShift accelerates telco cloud transformation by modernizing network functions through a unified infrastructure. The goal of this session is to equip telecommunications professionals with the knowledge and strategies they need to ensure readiness for the challenges and opportunities ahead. Key topics include:
- Advancing next-generation hardware to improve customer solutions.
- Accelerating far-edge deployments with image-based installation and upgrade methods.
- Using cloud-native observability, management, and automation across platforms.
- Supporting emerging technologies and standards in evolving telecom environments.
- Reviewing the RAN and core feature roadmap, enabling operators to optimize national networks.
