Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), the world's leading provider of open source solutions, today announced the agenda for its 2016 Red Hat Government Symposium, to be held Nov. 2, 2016, in Arlington, Va. Open source is an important part of government-wide initiatives to modernize government IT and speed innovation with agile, cloud-native solutions and new digital services. At the 2016 Red Hat Government Symposium, more than 650 government technology and industry professionals are expected to come together to discuss open source's role in digital transformation and addressing key government IT challenges.
In response to mandates like the OMB's Federal Source Code policy, government agencies are looking to open technologies to help overcome IT challenges.
