Red Hat Launches Virtual Training for the European Market

Training in Virtual Environment Saves on Travel Time and Cost

-

London, UK - 15 November 2012 - Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), the world’s leading provider of open source solutions, today announced the European launch of its Virtual Training offering. Delivered online by a live, remote instructor, Virtual Training offers the same high-quality content and hands-on labs found in traditional classroom training. Ideal for those that can’t fit travel into their budget or schedule, Virtual Training provides flexibility for students who aren’t in proximity to a training centre or specific course of interest.  Already available in North America, Virtual Training will now be available in most European countries from this point forward.

The majority of Red Hat’s training courses will be available as Virtual Training, including all of the company’s most popular courses.  More specifically, this includes 21 total courses spanning the full range of the offering, including core and advanced Red Hat System Administration, JBoss Application Administration, JBoss Development, and more.  Red Hat will also offer an on-site Virtual Training option for teams of six or more trainees, who are based in different locations, but require the same training.

“Red Hat Virtual Training offers live, certified, remote instructors who will actively engage trainees in task-focused activities and lab-based knowledge from the convenience of trainees’ own desks,” said Jens Ziemann, director of Red Hat Training EMEA. “Trainees don’t need to pay for travel and take extended time out of their working day to achieve certification, which makes training far more accessible for many organisations. The new training format offers the skills transfer and retention of our classroom training and enables increased productivity with a higher return on investment for companies.”

Organisations who invest in formal training from Red Hat are better prepared to successfully deploy and manage Red Hat and JBoss enterprise applications and solutions, encouraging best practices within their organisations to improve efficiencies. There are currently more than 110,000 Red Hat Certified Professionals and multiple levels of Red Hat certifications available. These include Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Red Hat Architect (RHCA), as well as several JBoss developer and administrator credentials.
