Managed Identity and workload identity on Azure Red Hat OpenShift provide an enhanced security posture for how Azure Red Hat OpenShift clusters access other Azure resources by replacing long-term credentials, such as client secrets, with short-lived tokens and providing a minimal set of permissions. This feature provides more granular access control and less operational burden by eliminating the need for periodic secrets rotation.
