Red Hat Summit: Connect 2025

Enzo Compagnoni is the regional vice president and general manager for Red Hat in Australia and New Zealand. In this role, Enzo is responsible for leading the Red Hat business growth in the region by helping drive digital transformation success of customers and partners with open source technology. Enzo has more than 25 years of experience in the enterprise IT industry. He has been with Red Hat Australia and New Zealand since 2016, most recently as senior director for enterprise sales, and eventually rising up to take the general manager role for the region. As a leader, Enzo believes in leading by example, and showing people the way through action. He is passionate about building strong teams and prioritises good execution focused around the success of Red Hat customers above all else.
Prior to Red Hat, Enzo has held various leadership roles in technology companies including EMC, PeopleSoft and PTC. Enzo holds a bachelor's degree in Business from Western Sydney University. Away from work, Enzo spends his time with his family that includes wife Clarissa, and their two boys, Dante and Diego. Enzo is an avid reader and also a cyclist with the St Kilda Cycling Club. 
 

Vincent Caldeira is CTO APAC at Red Hat and focused on technology strategy and emerging technology engineering in hybrid cloud, cloud-native AI and technology sustainability domains. Named a Top 10 CTO in APAC by Technology Magazine in 2023. Has 20+ years in IT, excelling in technology transformation in the financial industry, and is a Technical Advisor to LF OS-Climate, member of the GSF Green AI Committee, Technical Oversight Committee at LF FINOS and CNCF TAG Sustainability.

Marjet Andriesse is a seasoned leader, with over 25 years of vast international experience in driving customer satisfaction, sales, and revenue growth.  She has been instrumental in successful transition and organisational management for technology and professional services firms across Europe and Asia. As general manager and vice president of Red Hat in Asia Pacific, Marjet is responsible for the next phase of the company’s growth in the region, as well as leading initiatives to enable customer success with open hybrid cloud technology. Marjet also manages engagement with enterprise customers and emerging technologies sales and support capabilities. Throughout her career, Marjet has been a passionate advocate for workplace diversity and has been acknowledged for her forward thinking leadership. This includes her role as Chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) council for Red Hat APAC and has been recognized as one of the Techleaders for the inaugural SG100 Women in Tech in 2020. Marjet’s experience spans industries, including logistics and telecommunications, as well as HR services in a variety of leadership positions. Before joining Red Hat, she was the managing director of Telstra in Asia Pacific and was responsible for delivering the company’s corporate strategy in the region. Prior to Telstra, Marjet’s career also included working with Randstad and KPN NV in national and international management positions across Europe and Asia. Marjet is a Dutch native and holds a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Groningen, The Netherlands.

Mandi Buswell as a Principal Specialist Solutions Architect with Red Hat New Zealand. She is the Technology Award Winner in the 2021 Women in ICT NZ Awards and has seen, overseen and driven transformative change with over 30 years of experience in the industry and across the globe. Mandi has worked in the finance, hospitality, media and telecommunications sectors. Today she works with Red Hat customers across all sectors and is a subject matter expert on transformation, containers and application development.

Ameeta is Senior Director for Solution Architecture & Adoption for Red Hat Asia Pacific and is responsible for providing Technical leadership and direction to a team of Solution and Customer Success Architects and Executives that are engaged with clients to bring the power of Open Source technologies to Enterprises. Ameeta has spent several years in the industry in client facing roles where she has helped clients architect, design, build and troubleshoot software systems.

Steve Shirkey is Director for AI Platforms at Red Hat, leading AI strategy and execution across Asia Pacific. He helps enterprises build, scale, and operationalize AI solutions through hybrid cloud and open-source technologies, working across technology, sales, and ecosystem enablement to ensure AI adoption delivers real business value for customers, partners, and open-source communities. Before Red Hat, Steve drove Azure AI adoption across ANZ, Southeast Asia, and Korea at Microsoft, and earlier supported deep learning adoption in financial services, manufacturing, and enterprise sectors at AWS. With over two decades of experience in AI, cloud, and data, Steve has operated at the intersection of technology and business strategy, guiding organizations through digital transformation and AI-driven innovation. Across roles in the US and Asia, he has worked with global leaders to turn data into insights and AI from hype into scalable outcomes.

UD leads Microsoft Azure cloud sales organisation for Australia and New Zealand based out of Sydney. Azure brings the best of Microsoft’s innovations across AI, Cloud Infrastructure and security platforms that help our enterprise customers accelerate their Digital Transformation agenda across industries. UD brings over 17 year of enterprise sales experience working across different regions including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Asia Pacific regions at Microsoft. He has diverse experience working across multiple functions including Finance, Operations and leading Billion dollar business across Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Productivity cloud. Prior to his current role, UD lead the Microsoft Productivity Sales Organization for the Asia Pacific region before returning back home to Australia in his current role. Udaiya holds a post graduate degree in Business Administration and IT from University of South Australia, Australia.

Steven brings over three decades of experience in the technology industry, having progressed through various roles including development, infrastructure, operations, and DevOps, before moving into architecture. He currently assists Red Hat customers in implementing intricate business solutions, leveraging the power of Red Hat's Enterprise Open Source technologies.

Greg is a Portworx platform specialist within the Cloud Native Business Unit (CNBU) at Pure Storage and looks after Australia and New Zealand. Greg has a long history working with enterprise data management solutions spanning 20years. Greg is expertly positioned to know what organisations look for in technology to run their most critical systems that manage their most valued asset, their data. Today, Greg spends much of his time working with organisations on strategies around confidently running stateful workloads in Kubernetes and how to bring operational simplicity for data management, to platform engineering team.

David is an expert in automation, containers and Kubernetes, and virtualisation, with solutions design and implementation experience in large enterprise deployments involving OpenShift and Ansible amongst other technologies. He is a Red Hat Certified Architect and drives the Red Hat practice for HPE in Australia and New Zealand.

Bryon Baker is a Specialist Solution Architect for Red Hat Asia Pacific. Having previously held managerial, engineering and architecture positions at National Australia Bank, Rational Software (USA), Ivar Jacobson International, and Siemens Research (UK), Bryon brings over 30 years of diverse experience in the IT industry. Bryon’s experience spans embedded systems, electronics engineering, systems engineering, enterprise architecture, AI/ML and product management. Bryon is most passionate about machine learning and distributed system architectures. Bryon holds a Bachelor of Science from Deakin University with majors in Mathematics and Computer Science.

With over 20 years of experience specializing in Free/Libre/Open Source Software (F/LOSS) and rooted in *NIX heritage, Joel is a strategic advocate for Open Source adoption, particularly impactful within the dynamic telecommunications sector. His unique combination of deep technical expertise and business strategy provides valuable insight into bridging the gap between advanced technology and the evolving needs of organisational culture. Joel focuses not just on pioneering solutions like large-scale Open routing and compute-based private cloud architecture, but also on fostering cross-domain collaboration and refining open methodologies through active engagement with upstream community projects and governance structures. As a seasoned Linux workstation user and administrator with extensive knowledge of RHEL and its upstream ecosystems, he offers crucial expertise on maximising the strategic value and technical effect of leveraging Linux. Combining technical mastery with a focus on scalable, secure solutions, Joel engineers and leads the implementation of impactful open infrastructure strategies tailored to enterprise environments. His background also includes skills in social sciences and data science, enhancing his ability to understand and address complex business challenges holistically. He is a recognised voice in Open Source leadership, committed to driving effective and sustainable technology solutions in business and technology.  

Dev is responsible for the IBM and Red Hat Practice in IBM Consulting APAC. He and his team’s mission is to help clients’ harness the capabilities of Hybrid Cloud and Generative AI for their organisations. Dev has over three decades of experience in the Asia Pacific region as a technology leader in advanced analytics, AI/GenAI and cloud strategies. He has worked with clients across all the major industry sectors. Before joining IBM Consulting, Dev was the CTO for the IBM Watson platform in Asia Pacific.

Simon leads a practice of solution architects across APAC supporting our GSI partners to transform and modernise their clients using technology from Red Hat. With over 20 years of experience consulting with enterprises and government agencies, Simon specializes in emerging technologies, AI, cloud architecture, cybersecurity, and automation.

Shane Boulden is a solution architect at Red Hat, supporting Fortune 500 companies and government organisations across Australia and the region to adopt open source technologies. He is a frequent speaker at events including Red Hat Ansible Automates and MilCIS, and recently spoke about the 'StackRox' open source project at Everything Open 2025, held in Adelaide. He has contributed to security-focused open source projects like 'Compliance as Code', StackRox, and Keycloak, and is a contributing author to the second edition of "The Kubernetes Bible". His recent focus has been looking at applications of generative AI and security, and helping organisations modernise applications with OpenShift Virtualization.

Robby is an experienced Hybrid Cloud Architect and IT expert with a track record of results in regulated Enterprises. He has over 21 years in of experience Banking and Wealth Management Technology. Robby helps clients realise their technology ambitions, guiding and supporting their journeys from heritage IT. Robby is an open source contributor and has a number of granted software patents - notably a novel method for the management of computing secrets, a method to optimise container runtime behaviour, and contributions to high availability and clustering open source software.

Senior Consultant at Red Hat, specialising in automation, high-availability solutions.  Sebastian designs enterprise-scale Ansible and Pacemaker strategies for SAP, cloud, and virtualisation environments of any size. Passionate about open source, Sebastian shares deep technical insights from field experience across banking, cloud, and infrastructure automation.

Tertius Bouwer is an Automation Specialist for Red Hat, with expertise in automation leveraging Ansible technology, supporting the automation journeys of organisations across Australia and New Zealand. Tertius has a keen focus on driving organizational growth and efficiency through automation. He harnesses the power of Ansible to streamline processes and optimise workflows for clients across diverse industries in Australia. Having honed his skills over the past 20 years, Tertius possesses a deep understanding of how automation can revolutionise business operations, enabling companies to achieve their objectives with greater speed and precision. Tertius combined technical acumen with a customer-centric approach, he excels in crafting tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of each client.

Mina George is an Automation Specialist Solutions Architect in Red Hat, with over 18 years of experience in managing and automating infrastructure services in multi-cloud environments across the Telecom, ICT, Finance industries and Government sector. Mina has deep hands-on experience in designing/implementing/operating solutions leveraging multiple products in the Red Hat portfolio, in addition to non-Red Hat industry leading technologies. Adopting a zero-touch automation mindset, Mina is skilful at evaluating organisational challenges and potential processes improvements and architecting solutions tied to business growth and systems/workflow optimisation.

Andre is a Solutions Architect based in Perth, Australia, with over 10 years of experience in planning, architecting, and managing IT services across both commercial and government sectors. He specializes in virtualisation, cloud-native technologies, and automation.

Prasad is the AWS Alliance Leader for Red Hat and IBM, focused on accelerating joint sales and delivering value-driven solutions that solve real customer challenges. Passionate about driving innovation through collaboration, Prasad plays a key role in enabling partners and customers to unlock the full potential of AWS and Red Hat’s solutions.
