Red Hat, the leading provider of open source solutions, has announced the launch of its ISV programme in Europe, giving independent software vendors the opportunity to take advantage of the Linux platform and pursue new business opportunities using Red Hat technologies. Additionally, Red Hat ISV partners will be provided with access to Red Hat's training, support and development resources for Linux applications as well as gaining access to the fast-growing Red Hat Linux installed base.
By joining the Red Hat ISV Partner Programme, vendors can demonstrate to their customers that they are able to deliver solid applications on the Red Hat Linux platform and Open Source technologies. The programme will also help ISVs write their applications for Red Hat Linux, benefiting from the knowledge of Red Hat developers who have an unparalleled expertise in the field of Open Source technology.
``The Red Hat ISV partner programme is a great opportunity for software vendors to grow their business by making their applications available on the world's fastest growing server operating system. It will enable software developers to take advantage of the Linux platform and pursue new pan-European business opportunities using Red Hat technologies,'' comments Andy Dickens, European Sales Director, Red Hat.
The global reach that Red Hat has will allow partners to promote their applications across the European market using the Red Hat brand and to benefit from having their products listed on one of the most widely recognised sources of Linux and Open Source information.
The programme is suitable for ISVs who are either already developing software for Linux, or writing commercial or Open source applications or for those who are still considering it.
ISVs will have the opportunity to have their application listed on the Applications CD that ships with every copy of Red Hat Linux Deluxe or Professional giving them a wide reaching promotional vehicle to all Red Hat customers across Europe.
