Adopting a uniform way to connect, manage, and observe microservices-based applications in your server mesh

Jump to section

Red Hat® OpenShift® is used as a tool for intensive resource management. Even after allocating resources to the application workload, agreement on the Red Hat OpenShift design requires guidance to solve certain problems, including how to ensure the robustness and redundancy of the application workload, how to achieve finer-grained traffic division, how to guarantee the security of the service, and how to manage multiple clusters. These features can be addressed with Red Hat OpenShift Service Mesh.

This webinar will introduce OpenShift Service Mesh, using practical use cases to understand its components and its benefits in service management.

Microservices are a technical solution to any organizational problem. Red Hat® OpenShift® Service Mesh is a technical solution to handle the issues created by adopting microservice-based applications. As a deliverable for microservices, containers solve the problem of environmental consistency and allow for more granularity in limiting application resources. They are widely used as a vehicle for microservices.

Because the resources of a single machine are limited and internet applications may have traffic floods at different times (due to rapid expansion of user scale or different user attributes), computing resources' elasticity always tends to be high. A single machine may not meet the needs of a large-scale application; conversely, using a small-scale application to occupy the whole host would be a huge waste.

This webinar will focus on OpenShift Service Mesh, its advantages and use cases, how to manage service traffic once the application has been deployed, and the differences between service management in Red Hat OpenShift and OpenShift Service Mesh.

Join this webinar to:

  • Get an overview of OpenShift Service Mesh.
  • Find out the advantages of using OpenShift Service Mesh for customers and users.
  • See how Red Hat OpenShift ServiceMesh handles problems using real use cases.
  • Explore troubleshooting and debugging using OpenShift Service Mesh.
  • Watch a demo that shows how OpenShift Service Mesh works in East-West traffic and how to implement security, observability, tracing, and circuit breaker in microservices adoption.
