Bring practical tips home

Ben Breard, a product manager at Red Hat  Enterprise Linux in Texas, recently spoke about “Deploying Red Hat Enterprise Linux with Bootable Containers.” He shared, “My favorite part of speaking at the Summit is sharing tips and tricks that can really make a positive impact for attendees. I want everyone who comes to my talks to be able to bring something home with them that improves how they interact with the tech. Every year there's an energy and excitement at the Summit that's infectious, and it's why I've been speaking here for over a decade.”

Share the heart of our communities

Amy Marrich, a principal marketing manager in Texas, spoke on "What the 'Stack? The Same OpenStack You Love, but Better," engaging audiences on various topics, from OpenStack products to upstream projects like CentOS and Fedora. She highlighted, “The most exciting part was getting a chance to speak to our customers and answer their questions. It’s a great way to share what you love about Red Hat, from technology to our communities.” As a reviewer since the return of in-person Summit, Amy also shared her appreciation for the extensive work of selecting content and organizing the event, saying, “If you’re thinking about submitting a talk, do it! I’d be happy to read it.”

Learn in real time

Jimmy Alvarez, a senior principal product marketing manager in Florida, gave a speech titled, “Hands-on Lab with Red Hat OpenShift Platform Plus.” He emphasized, “Being able to interact with customers and see real-time understanding of our products and solutions is invaluable. The more attendees we have, the better the experience!”

Get valuable feedback from users

Michael Foster is a StackRox community manager in Toronto who spoke about the “Principal Product Marketing Manager." He said, “Engaging directly with our users and getting great feedback is one of the highlights of the Summit. The attendees bring a vast range of knowledge, covering everything from Linux to AI, creating a dynamic environment for discussions.”

Build relationships with peers

Kirsten Newcomer, senior director of OpenShift and Security Product Management in Westford, MA, presented “Getting Started with Red Hat OpenShift Security: Building Trust and Confidence.” Reflecting on her Summit experience, Kirsten shared, “Interacting with our customers and seeing them interact with each other is invaluable.” She encourages potential speakers to get involved, adding, “It’s a great way to learn about Red Hat solutions and meet peers.”

Opportunities for connection

Eric Lavarde is a principal architect in Consulting based in Germany. He gave a speech on “Advanced Features of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform Automation Controller.” He noted, “Standing in front of hundreds of people at the Ansible Collab was breathtaking. It's an incredible opportunity to meet people from all over the world and share insights with others in the tech community.”

Excitement in global collaboration

Daniel Brintzinger is a principal solution architect in Germany who shared insights on “Advanced Features of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform Automation Controller.” He said, “Having over 400 highly motivated attendees from around the globe was exciting. You really have to be there to feel the energy of Red Hat, open source, and collaboration.”

Learn from real-time feedback

Helen Bailey, a software engineer in Massachusetts, presented on “Terraform Orchestration with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.” Reflecting on her experience, Helen shared, “As an engineer, it was so valuable to interact directly with customers in our lab; to understand how they’re using our tool, what their pain points are, and what features they would like to see.” Leading labs on new integrations her team developed between Terraform and the Ansible Automation Platform, she noted, “Attendees come with excellent questions and a lot of enthusiasm for talking about the nitty gritty of our products.” for Helen, Summit provided invaluable insights and the chance to engage with the community face-to-face. 

Unique interactions with tech professionals

Sean Sullivan, a consultant in Indiana, spoke on “Automating Execution Environment Building.” He expressed, “Interacting with enthusiastic tech professionals is what makes the Summit special. The size and scale of the event surprise many newcomers, and it’s a fantastic chance to connect and learn from each other.”
