I don’t know about you, but I am really excited about the upcoming Red Hat Summit May 6 through 9 in Denver, Colorado. If you’re going to be there, you can think up questions for not just myself, but all the other Red Hatters that will be on site. Red Hat OpenShift customers can learn and speak to product managers, leaders and experts about the future of OpenShift technologies in several roadmap sessions.
Before heading to Summit, you might want to check out what’s next in OpenShift so you can seek out more details at the show:
Tuesday, May 7
First up after the keynotes at 10:00 am, is “Charting the future of Red Hat OpenShift: a roadmap”, presented by Tushar Katarki, senior director of product management, and Ju Lim, senior manager product management. This roadmap session will cover what to expect in the next year or so in the core OpenShift technologies.
Then at 11:45 am you can catch “Red Hat OpenShift: What’s next for application delivery” where Siamak Sadeghianfar, senior manager product management, will cover the DevOps and application delivery features of OpenShift, and the roadmap and plans for the technology.
At 1:30 pm, check out “Your hidden IT superpower: OpenShift Virtualization” with Fabian Duetsch, senior manager engineering, Brian Atkisson, senior principal architect, and Sachin Mullick, senior manager product management, from the OpenShift Virtualization team. They will provide an overview of OpenShift Virtualization, new and upcoming features and detail how we are working with OEM partners to provide a platform for virtual machines and beyond.
At 4:00 pm, you should attend “What’s new and what’s next with Red Hat OpenShift Cloud Services” to learn about the road ahead for Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA), Microsoft Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO), Red Hat OpenShift Dedicated on Google Cloud (OSD), and more from Brooke Jackson, senior manager product marketing, and Andy Cathrow, director of product management for OpenShift Cloud Services.
You can’t be in two places at once, but another great session at 4:00 pm is “Getting started with Red Hat OpenShift security: building trust and confidence.” Kirsten Newcomer, director product management, and Marc Curry, consulting product manager, will cover how you can make security a source of business value by empowering your teams with security tools and practices.
On demand every day
Now, if you are unable to join us in person at Red Hat Summit, don’t worry. We also provide a comprehensive update on each release of Red Hat OpenShift and a subsequent roadmap session on what to expect in the future. You can find slides and video here. Our YouTube page also has all the videos with time-based content listings in the description so you can zero in on just the updates you want.
See you there!
And don’t forget to also register for OpenShift Commons if you are going to be at Red Hat Summit this year for more great customer cases and presentations from OpenShift experts. I hope to bump into you in Denver!
