Know before you go: Red Hat Summit 2023

Red Hat Summit is just a few days away (May 23-25, 2023 in Boston), and we know you won’t want to miss out on any of the activities, sessions or events we have planned. To help you prepare, we’ve put together a list with some of the highlights you’ll want to know about.

Mark your calendars for our featured speakers

Each year, people from around the world come together for a high-energy week of innovation, education and collaboration and this year will be no different. Attendees will experience visionary technology industry keynotes featuring Red Hat executives and industry leaders, as well as many of our customers and partners sharing real stories of working with Red Hat products. 

This year’s keynotes will feature Red Hat executives including President and CEO Matt Hicks, CTO Chris Wright, Senior Vice President of Partner Ecosystem Success Stefanie Chiras, and Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer, Ashesh Badani. Red Hat will team up with our customers and partners including Microsoft, AWS, Barclays, ABB, Ericsson and more, to discuss how advancements in open innovation and hybrid cloud can help your business overcome IT challenges and move forward. Along with the keynotes, you won’t want to miss the exciting demos they’ll be showcasing on stage.

This year, we’ll also be bringing AnsibleFest to Red Hat Summit, providing in-depth automation content and a look at what’s next in automation. Join Director of Product Marketing for Ansible Automation Kaete Piccirilli and other Red Hat experts for the AnsibleFest keynote: The automation moment — and beyond.

Beyond sessions: Find the right mix of activities for you

There will be plenty of opportunities to learn, collaborate, and engage in our various onsite activities. Whether you're seeking knowledge through our many product and technology booths, looking to spend time giving back by participating in charitable activities, or searching for fun at one of our receptions, there’s a whole slate of activities to choose from. A few of the highlights include:

Network with peers at our receptions - Take part in our receptions at the end of each day to reflect on your experiences and network with peers over food and beverages.

Training and Certification - Whether you’re just starting out and need Linux training or are a seasoned professional seeking automation certification, we can help. Access hands-on training to stay ahead of technology trends and gain the knowledge you need to get certified. If you already know what you’re looking for, add a Power Training course to your registration.

Escape room at Open Innovation Labs - Can you escape in time? Enter the Open Innovation Labs escape room (as an individual or team) to solve the puzzle that unlocks the door to new concepts and creative problem solving.

Developers and the DevZone - Discover the latest in technology in the DevZone. Enjoy a wide variety of lightning talks in our area, as well as self-paced learning challenges to complete for swag. Our presenters and lead technologists are ready to help you brainstorm solutions to the challenges you face in your environment.

Do good with nonprofit, Foster Love - Assemble and decorate a STEM box with fellow teammates in the expo hall. These will be distributed to youths in foster care. Red Hat Summit is partnering with Foster Love to spark educational growth and inspire future generations to come.

Red Hat Summit and AnsibleFest Block Party - Close out the week with us as we take over four neighboring venues in the Boston Seaport District. Attendees can walk between each location to partake in a variety of activities at The Scorpion Bar, Kings, The Grand, and Tuscan Kitchen—stick around for all the fun.

Get started building your agenda

Attendees can get a jump on their Red Hat Summit experience by browsing the workshops, interactive sessions and other programs available over the course of the event.To save your seat in a session, lab, or workshop, you will need to add it to your agenda by clicking the “add to schedule” button. If a session is full, select the “Join waitlist” button. Attendees can join on a first come, first serve basis.

Within these tracks we’ll offer labs, workshops, lightning talks and more -- helping give attendees the tools they need to help define the future of open technology.
