Regain control over your virtualization strategy
In the last 18 months, the virtualization landscape has undergone seismic changes. High-profile acquisitions and shifting commercial strategies have significantly impacted the software and platforms that have long been the backbone of enterprise IT infrastructures. As this disruption reshapes the market, organizations are reevaluating their virtualization and platform strategies. In this session, Ed Hoppitt, EMEA Director of Business Value Practice, will talk about how this industry shift is influencing customer decisions and discuss how Red Hat’s can help organizations navigate these changes, and manage risk. Boston Children's Hospital Unleashing the power of hybrid cloud & AI: tech impact with Boston Children's Hospital
Convergent development of open source edge cyberinfrastructure and medical analysis software will increase equitable access to research outcomes. Across global deployments, the ChRIS project takes up various roles from supporting translational imaging research at Boston’s leading hospitals to enabling cost-effective and advanced analytics, including AI workflows, in under-resourced communities. The portability, pervasive open source underpinnings, native integration with OpenShift, and ease of distribution of ChRIS deployments is a significant driver.

Capgemini, Agile and secure software development in sensitive areas
Agile software development has been successfully implemented in a wide variety of areas for years. The transformation towards agile is often driven forward by young colleagues for whom dealing with cloud, innovation and agility is a matter of course. But if we look at particularly protected areas, the availability of such employees tends to decrease. Not every developer is willing or able to accept the appropriate security check, approval and any associated restrictions. Likewise, the need for innovation and transformation in sensitive areas such as security, sovereign tasks, energy supply and defense is immense.
The concept works according to the ""Dev Low / Run High"" principle - which means nothing other than that software is developed in areas with little or no regulation and then handed over to a secure operations team for operation in isolated areas.
This sounds obvious at first, but the devil is in the detail. The advantage of ""DEV Low"" is the easy use of agile tools and innovation based on public cloud infrastructures. This speeds up development while reducing costs. Release cycles are greatly reduced, which can increase the quality and innovation of the entire environment.
We resolve this balancing act with our concept of the ""Secure Software Factory".

Conclusion, Building Highly Available Integrations for Mission Critical Applications
The processes and services that together form the vital infrastructure are the foundation on which Dutch society runs. Organizations that are part of the vital infrastructure of the Netherlands have mission-critical processes and chains that must not be disrupted in the event of a disaster.
Mission-critical chains typically require a Recovery Point Objective of 0 and a Recovery To Operation of close to 0. In other words, no data should be lost or business operations seriously disrupted in the event of a disaster.
Meeting these requirements within complex hybrid cloud infrastructures requires a collaboration of measures at infrastructure, middleware and application level.
What do you need to do to be a resident against failure of a cluster or even an entire cloud? Virtual Sciences Conclusion takes you through how we achieved this at one of the largest Dutch carriers with Red Hat products such as Red Hat Fuse, AMQ Broker and Service Interconnect.

Introducing Image Mode for Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Image mode for Red Hat Enterprise Linux is a new deployment method that takes a container-native approach to deliver the OS from a container image. Image mode builds on the success of open source projects such as bootc, which manages the installation and updating of hosts in any part of the hybrid cloud, to create a deployment model that fits seamlessly into container-native workflows[, reduces complexity and increases security and consistency. During the session, we will introduce the core concepts and building blocks of RHEL Image mode and use cases, and you will see it in action.

Automation platform engineering to improve automation adoption
In a large enterprise, if you are automating on your own, you might be doing it wrong. There. I said it. It's a difficult message to hear, because even in isolation, automation is obviously beneficial to the individual team that uses automation. But if you take a step back, and look at the bigger picture, automation can help you achieve great things, things that impact your whole organization. And if you are limiting the scope of automation to a single team, you are missing out on that. This is why, at Red Hat, we look at automation from a holistic perspective. We look at automation as a means to reach goals that go beyond the individual or the individual team, but instead extend across technology domains and actually support achieving business goals. During this session we will explore what a holistic perspective on automation means, and how to implement an automation strategy that benefits your whole organization, including your business.
