Vodafone and Nokia partner to introduce Open RAN in Italy
Vodafone and Nokia announced a strengthening of their partnership with plans to run a commercial 5G Open Radio Access Network pilot in Italy for the first time. Covering a cluster of sites, the pilot will involve Nokia containerized baseband software running on Red Hat OpenShift.
