For the past 14 years, Red Hat Summit has delivered inspirational, educational and actionable content, industry-shaping news, and innovative practices from customers and partners from around the world and across industries. As we prepare for Red Hat Summit 2019, we wanted to share some of the exciting keynotes you can expect from our main stage.

Attendees will hear keynotes on the future of enterprise technology from several Red Hat leaders including: Jim Whitehurst, president and CEO; Paul Cormier, president of Products and Technologies; DeLisa Alexander, executive vice president and chief people officer; Chris Wright, vice president and chief technology officer; and Stefanie Chiras, vice president and general manager, Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Customers from across industries are using open source to modernize infrastructure and applications, and deliver exciting innovations. At Red Hat Summit 2019, attendees will hear keynotes from some of our customers including:

BMW Group: Dr. Alexander Lenk, lead architect, Connected Vehicle, Digital Backend, Big Data, Blockchain

This is not the BMW Group’s first time joining us at Red Hat Summit. Last year they spoke in a breakout session about how they drive digitalization by containerizing the connected car backend. This year they’ll be on the main stage sharing the continuation of their story and how they moved to the hybrid cloud space by using Red Hat OpenShift on the public cloud. The BMW Group enables connected cars worldwide with the cloud and uses OpenShift Dedicated for their business-critical applications, serving new markets in addition to the existing on-prem deployments.

Delta Air Lines: Rahul Samant, executive vice president and chief information officer

During this keynote, attendees will hear how Delta Air Lines is transforming technology into a competitive advantage. As one of the largest airlines in the world carrying nearly 200 million customers annually, CIO Samant joined Delta at a time when the global airline was regularly proving its reputation as the world’s most reliable operator. His challenge was to support Delta’s industry-leading reliability while embarking on a transformation journey to modernize Delta’s infrastructure, applications and skill base for the benefit of employees and customers, alike. Samant will talk about all of this and how Delta tapped Red Hat to help with aspects of the airline’s digital transformation, including the comprehensive Open Innovation Labs residency and Container Adoption Programs.

Lockheed Martin: Michael Cawood, vice president, Product Development

During this talk, Cawood will provide insight into the digital transformation at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics and how the organization is modernizing software upgrades for advanced fighter jets like the F-22 Raptor. By leveraging Red Hat Open Innovation Labs and Red Hat OpenShift, Lockheed Martin furthered its agile transformation and significantly reduced release times.
