Dynatrace at Red Hat Summit: What to expect

Red Hat Summit 2019 is just around the corner, and we’ll be there once again to showcase our product and partnership with Red Hat. What’s key to know about this event, whether you’re attending or not, is the importance it holds to Dynatrace and Red Hat and how we plan to continue to move forward together to provide the open source technology enterprises need to compete effectively.

The event is a collaborative forum for partners and delegates to attend, a place to learn, expand your capabilities and enrich one another with new insights. But most importantly, a place to collaborate, grow and innovate together.

‘AND’ is the key to success

Success can be possible on your own, but more often than not collaboration and partnerships are the key to success in organizations. As the saying goes “two heads are better than one,” and that’s never been more true than today. The fast pace of technology calls for collaboration and partnership.

And so, the theme at Red Hat Summit this year is all around ‘AND’.

We learned, from last year, that digital transformation is not just about technology; it’s about scaling the culture in which you do business and innovation, as well as your technology. The AND.

Scaling isn’t always about size or direction, it’s about what you actually need. And sometimes that comes from another like-minded organization to help put your needs forward.

Dynatrace and Red Hat are very much aligned in this way as both strive to encourage fewer bulky add-ons and more built-in core components, which help our customers better their businesses.

Dynatrace demonstrated this ethos at our Perform event in Las Vegas, as CEO John Van Siclen explained how we completely reinvented our platform – building AI at the core rather than adding on AI as an afterthought or sidecar to our platform..

Similarly, instead of simply ‘adding on’ capabilities Red Hat can incorporate and embed them into the foundation of their platform. This is exactly what they’ve done with Dynatrace.

Red Hat and Dynatrace

Dynatrace partners with Red Hat to bring better performance, capabilities and results. In doing so, this gives greater visibility into their cloud environment. Having this visibility enables Dynatrace to more easily simplify complexities in the cloud or within microservices and containers using automation and AI at a deeper level than what would be capable with an add-on.

If this were to have been a bolted-on capability, the outcomes wouldn’t be as accurate or as beneficial to either organization.  

That’s why the partnership works so well, because both of us are aligned in simplicity and innovation. Together, we demonstrate ‘AND’ perfectly. Dynatrace and Red Hat continue to build on the existing partnership – for us, through our reinvention.

We redefined our automation and integration with infrastructure monitoring and automation with Red Hat Ansible Automation, last year and as two organizations invested in innovation, we plan to continue working on ways that assist our customers and other companies to scale and be agile.
