Welcome to the EMEA Sales Kickoff 2019

The EMEA Sales Kickoff (SKO) FY20 will be held from 11-14 March 2019 at the Prague Congress Centre, located in the heart of the Czech capital. The event is for everybody in Sales, Pre Sales and Marketing. Separate invitations will be sent to selected persons from Services, Finance, Operations, People etc.

SKO is a big investment and represents an amazing opportunity for us to:

  • learn about Red Hat's strategy and vision direct from our executives
  • get educated on our latest product and customer innovations
  • network with your peers, have some fun and celebrate our success

There is one pre-event meeting taking place on Monday. All expected to attend this Sales Alignment Meeting should have received an email invitation from Werner on Tuesday, 18th December at 16:25 CET.

SKO PARTY 2019

On Wednesday evening we are throwing a RED party. Come dressed in your best RED outfits!

Don’t feel under pressure to buy anything new - just use your creativity and make sure at least your upper body clothing is RED.

    Registration information

    Registration is OPEN

    Before you register make sure to:

    • Read the travel information below
    • Book your flights, and have the details to hand
    • Have your passport details to hand
    • Use this size converter in the right scale to select the correct size when registering. Print it on DIN A4​, check that the scale is correct and measure your feet. 
      Requested size can only be guaranteed for all who register before January 12. Possibility to exchange for another size on-site is EXTREMELY limited. ​

    Make sure to be very precise when you register. Please do NOT put in fake flight details in case of extended stay. We need to know your REAL flight details. If your flight details need to be changed or if there is another important part of your registration details to be amended please contact Esther (esther@redhat.com) to inform her.

    Confirmation of your registration

    In case you want to receive a copy of your registration details please click the button 'send me a copy of my responses' at the end of the registration form. (The button will move to the right and be red.) If you do not receive an email, even though you hit that button, then your registration was not successful. Make sure to check your spambox!

    Travel information

    Everything you need to know before you go

    FLIGHTS
    The destination airport for the 2019 SKO is Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG).

    Everyone (apart from those that have been invited for the Sales Alignment Meeting on the Monday) should book flights arriving at the airport on Monday, 11th March before 18:00 CET and departing from the airport on Thursday, 14th March after 18:00 CET.

    1. In those countries where it’s available, please ensure that you use the travel platform Egencia to book your flights. Please ensure that you choose the most cost effective flights i.e. check possible indirect flights and alternative airports as well.
    2. Arrival at airport PRG latest 18:00 CET on Monday, 11th March.
    3. Departure from airport PRG not before 18:00 CET Thursday, 14th March.

    If you have difficulties finding reasonable flights within the above timeframe, discuss the issue with Esther before booking alternative times or dates (esther@redhat.com).

    BUS FROM MUNICH & VIENNA
    We will arrange buses from Munich (Red Hat office, Grasbrunn) and Vienna (location TBC) to the Prague venue departing on Monday, 11th March and returning on Thursday, 14th March. Please tick the appropriate box in the registration form to reserve a seat on the bus.

    VISA
    In case you need an invitation letter to apply for visa please contact Esther Dalderup (esther@redhat.com) as soon as possible.

    Shuttles will be going from PRG airport to the venue on Monday, 11th March. Shuttles will take you back to the airport on departure day Thursday, 14th March as well. Detailed information about the schedule will be published shortly prior to the date.

    Planning on arriving before the event starts? Or do you want to extend your stay in Prague after the event?

    Extending your stay to include extra time before or after is considered to be a private extension of your stay (not paid for by Red Hat) unless you have prior approval from Esther or Werner – approval from your manager is not sufficient.

    In case of a private extended stay in the area you need to inform the event organization about details as such influences the logistics of the organization. You can do this by putting details in the online registration form (field: Additional travel information).

    DRESS CODE
    Dress code - as always - the Red Hat way: anything between business casual and business informal is perfect, also for all dinners. More information about the activities will follow, but most important to keep in mind is: you better wear something that is comfortable enough to DANCE ALL NIGHT LONG!

    SKO PARTY ON WEDNESDAY EVENING
    This year we are celebrating one the of the core elements of our company brand and we want you to all come to our SKO party on Wednesday evening dressed in your best RED outfits! You can look forward to a fabulous venue, along with great music, entertainment and food all creating the perfect backdrop for celebrating with your fellow Red Hatters. Don’t feel under pressure to buy anything new - just use your creativity and make sure at least your upper body clothing is RED.

    The Sales Alignment Meeting, taking place on Monday, is only to be attended if you have received an invitation from Werner (sent Tuesday, 18th December at 16:25 CET). If you are invited, you should book a flight arriving at PRG on Monday, as early as possible – latest at 10:30 CET.

    Hotels & Congress Centre

    Hotels

    Registering for the event means a hotel room will be booked for you for the 3 nights of the event (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday night). Don't book a room yourself.

    More information about hotels will follow. Make sure to download and read all Delegate Information carefully when made available shortly prior to the event. In it you will find everything you need to know about your hotel, shuttles, dress code and much more. There will be no individual Hotel Confirmations unless for visa purposes (which are mandatory to report to custom authorities).
