What happens when you combine education and collaboration, then drop it in a middle school classroom? You get the Futuregirls program at Franklin Middle School. This talk—part panel, part performance—shows what happens when open source principles and leadership meet dedicated middle schoolers. And as you’ll see from the Futuregirls’ colorful codebook, the results speak for themselves.
The Futuregirls
Franklin Middle School is home to the Futuregirls program, created by classroom teacher Michael Bratsch (aka Mr. B). The program supports students in academic learning and professional and socio-emotional growth, inspiring success and creating unique learning opportunities.
