Hong Kong – 5 December 2012 – Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), the world’s leading provider of open source solutions, today announced the appointment of Peter Man as regional director for Hong Kong and South China.
Based in Hong Kong, Man has more than 18 years of IT industry experience and has established a strong reputation in Hong Kong‘s open source community. Previously with Novell and IBM, he has a proven track record for building high performing teams.
“Hong Kong and the South China region are key areas within the scope of Red Hat Greater China,” said Dr. SM Chang, general manager, Red Hat Greater China. “With Man’s strong experience in these regions, I am confident that he will be able to help Red Hat further nurture our business there.”

Man holds a string of academic qualifications, including a Masters in Computer Science from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Boise State University.
