Red Hat startet "The JBoss Way"-Initiative

Red Hat präsentiert zudem neue Version JBoss Developer Studio 5

Red Hat, der weltweit führende Anbieter von Open-Source-Lösungen, hat eine neue Initiative unter dem Namen "The JBoss Way" gestartet. Im Rahmen der Initiative stellt Red Hat Frameworks, Tools und Architekturdesigns bereit, mit denen die Entwicklerproduktivität erhöht und die Konzeption von modernen Applikationen vereinfacht wird. 

Technologien und Verfahren wie HTML5, Webbrowser-Eventing, Java EE 6, Cloud-Deployment oder Container-Tests können mittels The JBoss Way schnell und einfach genutzt werden. Red Hat hat dafür Technologien und Anwendungen der Open-Source-Community in JBoss Developer Studio 5 und die JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 6 integriert. Dazu gehören Java EE 6, Arquillian, Hibernate 4, AeroGear, Errai, RichFaces, JBoss Forge, TorqueBox und Red Hat OpenShift. Die Kombination dieser Technologien verbessert die Entwicklereffizienz und bietet Möglichkeiten, die Anforderungen an die Konzeption moderner Applikationen optimal abzudecken, und zwar durch einen in sich geschlossenen Lösungsansatz. 

The JBoss Way greift direkt die Herausforderungen auf, die mit der Verwendung und Integration neuer Technologien verbunden sind, indem Hilfestellungen gegeben und Einsatzbereiche empfohlen werden. Red Hat stellt Entwicklern im Rahmen der Initiative auch eine Vielzahl von Ressourcen bereit. Dazu gehören zahlreiche Tutorials, Maven-Archetypen, Architekturleitfäden, Screencasts, Referenzarchitekturen und mehr als 50 "Quick Starts", mit denen Innovationen schnell genutzt werden können. Außerdem wurde die Referenzapplikation TicketMonster konzipiert, die verschiedene Architekturmodelle vorstellt. The JBoss Way hat zum Ziel, Entwicklern Open-Source-Innovationen zur Verfügung zu stellen und sie bei deren schnellen Nutzung zu unterstützen. 

Ab sofort ist zudem das JBoss Developer Studio 5 verfügbar. Es bietet mehrere Wizards, mit denen eine Technologienutzung vereinfacht wird, ohne die übliche typische Lernkurve. JBoss Forge ist in JBoss Developer Studio 5 eingebunden und ermöglicht es Entwicklern, sofortige Resultate zu erzielen. Eine umfassende Kenntnis der gesamten Spezifikation und Konfigurationsanforderungen eines eher unbekannten Programmiermodelles ist dabei nicht erforderlich. 

Zu den weiteren Features des neuen Releases gehören: umfangreiche CDI-Tools, ein Simulator zur Überprüfung von Darstellungen in unterschiedlichen mobilen Browsern und die Maven-Integration. Diese Features tragen zu einer Erhöhung der Entwicklerproduktivität bei und vereinfachen die Konzeption von Applikationen mit JBoss Developer Studio 5.
