#2 While you're waiting

Our hiring process is dynamic and sometimes takes a while. In the meantime:

Check your application status online.
Log in to your profile. If you're still being considered for a role, your status will reflect that.
Watch your inbox.
Unfortunately, we can’t call everyone who applies for a job at Red Hat. We’ll send an email to let you know if you’re moving on to the next step or if we’ve hired someone else. Be sure to check your junk folder, sometimes our emails end up there by mistake.

#3 Get ready for the interview

Your resume has been reviewed and now it’s time to meet some members of the team. Here's what you need to know before the official interview:

We appreciate it when you do your homework.
Take the time to research Red Hat, our products, and our culture. Come prepared to ask questions, not just answer them.
There’s no need to stress about how to dress.
Choose the kind of clothes you'd wear on an important day in the job you're interviewing for, and you'll be just fine.

#4 Show time

Whether you're interviewing in person, over the phone, via video conference, or all 3, here's some advice for the big day:

Tell us why you want to be a Red Hatter.
Red Hat is a fast-paced, challenging environment, and we love working here. But it's not for everyone. We want to hear why you believe it's right for you.
Show that you're passionate about the job.
You will be asked to give specific examples of skills and behaviors you’ve demonstrated in previous roles. We want to know what’s made you successful and get insight into how you might do things at Red Hat.

#5 You're hired!

Congratulations, you’ve made it through the interviews and the team thinks you’ll make a great Red Hatter. Now we're presenting you with an offer. Things will move quickly:

Make it official.
Sign your offer letter—and some other important paperwork—and return it to us quickly.
