Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8 is the intelligent OS designed to provide a solid foundation that spans the hybrid cloud and also powers the business critical workloads of today. To continue on the certification train, and building on the successful launch of RHEL 8, we are pleased to announce the production support for running SAP HANA 2.0 on RHEL 8.1 for SAP Solutions.

As environments grow across hybrid-cloud environments, analytical solutions are needed to stay ahead of critical security, compliance and configuration tasks. With Red Hat Insights, included in every RHEL subscription, customers can benefit from years of Red Hat expertise that is delivered when and where needed through this SaaS service.

By using Insights, you will be able to proactively identify and can help remediate security, compliance, performance, availability, and stability issues before they result in unplanned downtime and other interruptions in mission critical environments.

Red Hat Insights has gone beyond the operating system, offering recommendations tailored for important third-party critical workloads that run on Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Specifically, we have added several Red Hat Insight recommendations for SAP applications that can alert you of system configurations that are not up to the specifications recommended by either Red Hat or SAP.

We want the applications that you entrust to Red Hat Enterprise Linux to be more effective and efficient. Red Hat Insights can help you accomplish that goal. Here are some examples of rules offered by Insights today.

In most cases, Red Hat Insights provides administrators with Ansible playbooks to quickly and efficiently correct these issues. You can use these playbooks to resolve risks right from within Insights using Red Hat Smart Management which is also included in the RHEL for SAP Solutions subscription, and contains both Red Hat Satellite and the new Cloud Connector capability.  At your option, you can also download playbooks and run them through Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.

We continue to work together with SAP to enhance the overall experience for SAP solutions on the RHEL platform.
