As I was compiling all of the fantastic stories from financial institutions that Red Hat has partnered with to transform their business, I was in awe of the depth and breadth by which we are able to create real business impact for such a variety of leaders in the financial services industry. In our new eBook you’ll read of 15 different stories of transformation, innovation, automation, modernization and simplification. By balancing digital transformation with reliability, security features, and compliance — Red Hat has become a trusted adviser to leading financial institutions.
In the financial services industry, market opportunities often grow faster than I.T. budgets. Complex transactions, staggering amounts of data, and increasing customer expectations create challenges for even the most skilled I.T. teams. Open source technologies allow Red Hat to partner with financial institutions that are looking to automate their existing I.T., leverage the public cloud in a hybrid way, and sensibly migrate away from their monolithic applications. A trusted solution from Red Hat provides the people, processes and technology financial institutions need to compete.
Two of the stories highlighted are from 2017 Red Hat Innovation Awards winners. Barclays chose Red Hat as a technology partner along their journey to become the bank of the future. They built an application Platform-as-a-Service (aPaaS) as part of its cloud program, and chose Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and other Red Hat solutions to update its I.T. infrastructure and adopt an agile, DevOps approach to application development. Macquarie is a digital-first business, and as such, the customer experiences had to be at the center of every technology decision they made. They chose Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform as a public cloud implementation and, within just a few months, were able to migrate more than 60 business applications and 150 services to its new solution, allowing them to quickly respond and improve their customers’ digital banking experience.
In this eBook, you'll read how Red Hat’s open source technologies have helped our clients in insurance, banking, capital markets, consumer and investment banking to automate, simplify and modernize their I.T. and application development processes.
