Red Hat strives to strengthen and do good in the communities where our associates live and work.  We do our best when we do good together, whether that’s through our donations to nonprofit,  non-governmental organizations, our volunteer activities, or our outreach to students as they become the next generation of technologists.

Globally, we focus our corporate citizenship efforts in areas Red Hatters care about the most, including programs that provide for:

  • Basic human needs: Serving the needs of those facing hunger or homelessness through programs such as food banks, shelters, and job training programs that help people work toward self-sufficiency.
  • STEM education: Support for primary and secondary students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math.
  • Health: Programs and events that raise awareness and research funds for physical and mental health issues.
  • Environment & Sustainability: Programs and local efforts to protect and preserve climate, air, water, wildlife, land, and other natural resources.

In India, the CSR activities are governed under the provisions of Companies Act, 2013 and the CSR activities are performed by the Company in compliance with applicable laws.
