The GNUPro toolchain consists of a Solaris 2.7 on SPARC cross toolchain for the Motorola's e500 core. With Red Hat's GNUPro development toolchain, Motorola's customers are further equipped to develop next generation networking, communications and embedded applications.

"Having an optimized GNU compiler that takes advantage of our powerful e500 core provides our customers with a critical tool which speeds the deployment of embedded solutions utilizing devices such as our PowerQUICC III processors."
