Red Hat Summit: Connect 2023 Inspires Businesses to Propel Innovation and Foster Growth with Open Hybrid Cloud

The 13th annual event aims to grant organizations the capabilities to bridge the gap between IT and business operations to successfully deliver and accomplish business objectives.

Red Hat, Inc., the world's leading provider of open source solutions, today kicked off Red Hat Summit: Connect 2023, one of the premier open source technology event series in Asia Pacific. The series gathers industry experts and key business decision-makers to provide a platform to learn about how organizations can meet business objectives with open source, share insights on how to address unique business challenges, and network directly with Red Hat and its ecosystem of technology partners. The event series will open in Sydney and Kuala Lumpur before traveling to seven major APAC cities.

This year’s event theme of “Explore what’s next” celebrates organizations’ ability to adapt to rapidly changing business environments, transform their business models, and deliver better experiences to customers with open source as they continue to embrace innovation in today’s business landscape.

Red Hat Summit: Connect series hopes to empower participants with the knowledge of how to better align IT and business operations, unlock the world’s potential, and help their organizations in harnessing emerging technologies at scale. The business message will focus on the theme of, “Re-imagining your digital future” and will talk about how organizations can leverage open source and cutting edge technologies like AI successfully and achieve business transformation and cope with the increasing pressure on budgets. 

Several global and regional Red Hat leaders will be attending and delivering sessions in various APAC cities, including: Matt Hicks, president and CEO; Ashesh Badani, senior vice president, head of products; Stefanie Chiras, senior vice president, partner ecosystem success; Mike Barrett, vice president of product management, hybrid platforms; Marjet Andriesse, senior vice president and general manager, APJ and Vajira Weerasekera, vice president, APAC Office of Technology. 

The Red Hat APAC Innovation Awards 2023 will also be held during Red Hat Summit: Connect, with the Innovation Awards recognizing customers who have harnessed the power of open source creatively to transform and innovate. Last year, NTT DOCOMO, OCBC Bank, and CIMB Thai were among the organizations that snagged the top spots for their outstanding and creative use of Red Hat open source solutions.
