Day 2 NetOps excellence

Jump to section

Red Hat® OpenShift® is a popular enterprise Kubernetes platform that provides a range of networking capabilities to manage containerized workloads efficiently. Red Hat OpenShift Networking is a key component of the platform that allows communication between different containers and services within a cluster. It uses Kubernetes networking primitives—such as pods, services, and endpoints-to establish communication and ensure high availability and fault tolerance. Additionally, Red Hat OpenShift Networking provides several networking plug-ins, including Multus and Open vSwitch, to support various network topologies and use cases. With Red Hat OpenShift Networking, organizations can efficiently manage their container networking infrastructure and achieve better application performance and scalability.

For customers adopting containerization, the Asia Pacific (APAC) Technical Account Management (TAM) webinar program aims to help customers with Day 2 networking operations. This webinar features expert guidance on how to install Kubernetes NMState Operator and Network Observability operator (NetObserv) in Red Hat OpenShift—to perform network configurations and observe network traffic in clusters. This session will highlight the usage of NMState operator, NetObserv operator, and Multus, to perform various network configurations, including interface creation, IP management, and DNS.

In this webinar, we’ll cover:

  • NMState and NetObserv operator installation basics and prerequisites.
  • Core components related to NMState.
  • Performing network configuration across the nodes.
  • Observe the network traffic on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform console.
  • The domain name system (DNS) Operator in OpenShift Container Platform along with troubleshooting.
  • How to configure an egress IP address in Red Hat OpenShift.
  • How to configure an additional network.
