Screening

Resume review

Once you’ve submitted your application through our careers site, your profile will be reviewed by our Talent Acquisition team. If you fit the position, we will contact you to arrange a telephone screening.

Preliminary phone screen

For most positions, our team will contact you first by phone to gauge your interest and get a better sense of your qualifications. This preliminary screen can include technical, language, and analytical aptitude assessments. If your preliminary interview goes well, we’ll invite you to a video interview.

Assessment

Business/technical interview

A standard interview is typically 1-1 with the hiring manager or a member of the team. It is designed to help us to assess your expertise and previous experience.

Business case/technical presentation

Depending on the position you’re being considered for, you might be asked to present on a topic or project to a panel of interviewers. Be prepared to share your methods and findings, and to answer questions about your work.

Panel interview

After your business and technical interview, you’ll meet with our panelists. You will be asked competency-based behavioral questions to evaluate both your ability to perform the job and your motivation to contribute to Red Hat and our culture. Be prepared to explain your approach to solving complex problems and how you arrive at innovative solutions. You can use examples of recent work-related situations to describe your actions and their results.

Throughout the hiring process, we encourage you to ask questions about the position and our culture to help determine whether Red Hat is right for you.
