Keynote

Trust and Risk in the Software Supply Chain

Emmy Eide | Director, Product Security

Thursday, February 2, 2023 | 9:55 am PST

Building a trusted software supply chain that minimizes risk starts at the very beginning of the development process and continues through the application life cycle. Administering security tests at the end of the development and production cycle or patching running applications is counterproductive to how cloud-native applications are built and secured. In this talk, we will explore balancing trust and risk throughout the entire supply chain using open source projects, and how Red Hat is building trust in its own software supply chain using open source technologies.

Advanced Cluster Security Cloud Service is here

Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security Cloud Service now extends beyond Red Hat OpenShift, and protects Kubernetes services and containerized applications from all major cloud providers such as Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

Sigstore

Building trust in your software supply chain with Sigstore

Trusting your cloud native software is a corner piece of supply chain security, and Red Hat has been at the forefront of innovating how customers protect their applications. Originally developed at Red Hat and subsequently open sourced in partnership with CNCF, Google, and other IT leaders, the Sigstore project helps you sign and verify your software so that you can trust your supply chain.
