BPI gains new revenue streams with open banking

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), one of the country’s oldest banks, began its journey to the cloud by building application programming interfaces (APIs) to connect legacy systems with online applications. Joining the open banking ecosystem allowed the bank to monetize its new APIs. BPI worked with Red Hat and IBM Consulting to build a highly scalable foundation on Red Hat® OpenShift®. BPI has achieved cost and performance improvements and is prepared for a cloud-first future.
