Red Hat Names Mark White General Manager for Asia-Pacific Operations

Seasoned UNIX and Open Source Executive to Lead Expansion of Red Hat's Full Range of Linux-based Operating System Software and Support in Asia-Pacific

Prior to joining Red Hat, Mark was director of UNIX marketing in Asia-Pacific for Compaq and responsible for the integration and sales positioning of their Alpha, Intel and Tandem UNIX product sets. He also led Compaq's open source marketplace initiative in Asia-Pacific. Prior to Compaq, he managed the UNIX and telecommunications business activities for Tandem Computers and led the IT operations and development for the Bell Atlantic International subsidiary. Mark's involvement in UNIX and the open source community includes vice presidency of the Australian UNIX and Open Source User Group (AUUG), the largest entity of its type in the southern hemisphere.
