How Emirates NBD Consolidated 9,000 VMs to Modernize Its Banking Platform(Hub Theater) Emirates NBD, a Dubai-based banking group serving 20 million customers, ran virtual machines and containers on separate platforms- driving duplicate tooling, inconsistent security policies and rising costs. This session explores how the bank standardized on a single Kubernetes-based platform, Red Hat OpenShift, to unify virtual machines, bare metal servers and container operations on Oracle Cloud, migrating roughly 9,000 virtual machines (up to 140 nightly) with 24/7 availability for critical banking services.
