Mario Vaz is the Chief Financial Officer at Red Hat, leading the company’s global financial strategy, operations, and performance.

Mario is a proven financial leader with two decades of strategic experience cultivated at IBM, holding key executive roles across finance, strategy, and operations.

His tenure included serving as Assistant Controller overseeing external earnings, and leading the financial strategy for major business units as the CFO of Internet of Things and the North America Technology Services CFO. He also played a critical role in major initiatives, including the Kyndryl spin-off, leading Treasury Strategy, and driving Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) execution.  

Mario began his professional career at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
