The Red Hat APAC Innovation Awards 2025 are an opportune time to recognize and celebrate these achievements, highlighting how our customers are unlocking what’s next and shaping a future defined by creativity, resilience, and impact.
Embodying this year’s theme, “Unlock what’s next,” the Red Hat APAC Innovation Awards 2025 celebrates customers turning these trends into tangible results. The awards recognize 30 winners across the region whose inventive use of Red Hat’s open source technologies has sparked innovation, strengthened competitiveness, and delivered lasting value for their industries, customers, and employees. These organizations demonstrate how open source empowers enterprises to reimagine possibilities, navigate complexity, and seize new opportunities in an evolving landscape to define future competitiveness.
The awards comprise five categories: Digital Transformation, Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud-native Development, Automation – and the newly added AI and Emerging Tech.
Category: Digital Transformation
Winner: LINE Bank Taiwan Limited
LINE Bank Taiwan Limited, the nation’s leading digital-only bank, was founded with a bold mission to deliver secure, convenient, and fully digital banking services to customers. Entirely powered by 24/7 online services, and launching without a branch network required the bank to establish trust quickly and capture market share by building a reliable and scalable digital-native foundation, LINE Bank currently has more than 2.1 million customers in Taiwan.
To achieve this, LINE Bank adopted Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform to power its core banking infrastructure. This foundation has cut deployment times from hours to under 15 minutes. It also helps the bank meet strict regulatory and security requirements, while enabling operations across multiple cloud environments.
With this platform in place, LINE Bank has since accelerated time to market, increased developer productivity by 25%, and enhanced customer experiences through always-on services and faster innovation. By combining operating system standardization, application development and management, and automation, the bank is setting a new benchmark for digital banking in Taiwan – positioning LINE Bank for continued growth in an increasingly digital era.
Category: Digital Transformation and Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure
Winner: Amway Taiwan
Amway Taiwan, a leading brand in the direct selling industry, has been actively driving cloud innovation and demonstrating significant impact across the retail and e-commerce sectors. By building a comprehensive digital ecosystem on AWS, Amway has enhanced business resilience and has secured its position among the top five AWS customers in Taiwan. However, rapid service growth led to escalating cloud costs and highlighted the need to modernize its legacy on-premises systems. To stay competitive in a fast-changing retail landscape, Amway set out to create a more agile, cost-efficient, and scalable infrastructure.
By adopting Red Hat OpenShift, Amway rebuilt its on-premises container platform while retaining the flexibility of a hybrid cloud. The platform was designed with high availability, observability, governance, and security at its core, enabling the company to seamlessly integrate new and existing services. With this transformation, Amway has not only reduced reliance on expensive cloud resources but also empowered its development teams to innovate faster and deliver reliable, modern digital experiences to its customers.
