Amway Taiwan
Digital Transformation and
Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure
Amway Taiwan, a leading brand in the direct selling industry, has been actively driving cloud innovation and demonstrating significant impact across the retail and e-commerce sectors. By building a comprehensive digital ecosystem on AWS, Amway has enhanced business resilience and has secured its position among the top five AWS customers in Taiwan. However, rapid service growth led to escalating cloud costs and highlighted the need to modernize its legacy on-premises systems. To stay competitive in a fast-changing retail landscape, Amway set out to create a more agile, cost-efficient, and scalable infrastructure.
By adopting Red Hat OpenShift, Amway rebuilt its on-premises container platform while retaining the flexibility of a hybrid cloud. The platform was designed with high availability, observability, governance, and security at its core, enabling the company to seamlessly integrate new and existing services. With this transformation, Amway has not only reduced reliance on expensive cloud resources but also empowered its development teams to innovate faster and deliver reliable, modern digital experiences to its customers.
As one of the largest cloud users in Taiwan, balancing cost efficiency with innovation has been a key priority for us. By adopting Red Hat OpenShift, we successfully modernized our legacy on-premises systems while keeping the flexibility of hybrid cloud architectures. This gives our development team a more agile development environment, effectively reducing cloud spending, while continuously delivering reliable, scalable services to meet the fast-changing demands of the market.
