New Appointments are Geared to Strengthen the Asia Pacific Business

Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), the world's leading provider of open source solutions, today announced six appointments across the Asia Pacific region to support market interest in open source technologies and the company's growth plans across the region.

The appointments include the General Manager of India, General Manager of the Greater China region, Director of Services for APAC and three newly created roles to support the growing market demands for open source technologies - platform, cloud computing, storage, virtualization and middleware.

Arun Kumar, Senior Director of Business Development for Asia Pacific, has been promoted to General Manager of Red Hat India. Kumar has been with Red Hat since 1999, serving in multiple leadership positions in the US and Asia Pacific region.
