レッドハット株式会社（本社：東京都渋谷区、代表取締役社長：廣川裕司、以下レッドハット）は、パートナー企業向けにオープンソースソフトウェア（以下OSS）を活用したソリューション提案ができる技術者を育成する「Red Hat Partner Developer Program」（レッドハットパートナーデベロッパープログラム）と、このプログラムの認定制度となる「Red Hat Product Specialist」（レッドハットプロダクトスペシャリスト）の提供開始を発表します。このプログラムを提供することで、今後3年間で10,000名の「Red Hat Product Specialist」を育成します。
近年、企業ITインフラソフトウェアにOSSを活用し、コスト削減とIT基盤の刷新を推進する企業が急増しています。OSSの適用は、企業のITインフラ刷新に技術革新をもたらし、最適なコストで世界標準のソフトウェアを導入することができます。OSSの適用範囲が、クラウド・ビックデータの普及とともに加速し、Red Hat Enterprise Linux のOS基盤をはじめ、ミドルウェア基盤、アプリケーション サーバ、SOAソリューションを含む広範な分野に拡大しています。 また、ビジネスフローやルール管理、データ管理、ストレージ管理などのITサービスを実現するソリューションとしてもOSSでの対応ができるようになり、さらには仮想化、PaaS・IaaSなどのクラウド基盤を構築するソリューションにまで 適用が拡大しています。また、パートナー企業よりこれらの最新のOSS製品・技術・ソリューションに精通した開発者、システムズエンジニア、アーキテクト、コンサルタントなどの育成への要望の声が高まっています。
そこで、レッドハットでは「Red Hat Partner Developer Program」を発表し、多くのパートナー企業においてOSS技術者や、OSSソリューションを提案できるシステムズエンジニア、アーキテクトを飛躍的に増加させ、日本中の官公庁・企業のIT基盤を刷新するOSS普及をさらに加速させてまいります。今回発表する 「Red Hat Partner Developer Program」で育成する「Red Hat Product Specialist」には、以下の内容が含まれます。
- ITインフラソフトウェアスペシャリスト
本スペシャリストは、IT基盤のOSS化のための高度な製品知識を持ち、Red Hat Enterprise Linuxと仮想化を活用したソリューション提案ができる技術者です。 - ミドルウェアソリューションスペシャリスト
本スペシャリストは、JBoss Enterprise Middleware を中心としたアプリケーション基盤のOSS化のための知識を持ち、Java EEアプリケーションサーバーだけでなく、ビジネスプロセス管理（BPM）、ビジネスルール管理など幅広いソリューション提案ができる技術者です。
「Red Hat Partner Developer Program」の提供価格は、1名あたり10万円～です。各プロダクトスペシャリストは、それぞれの専門知識を身につけるため1-2日間の認定トレーニングを受講し、そのあとの認定試験に合格することでプロダクトスペシャリストと認めます。
