Findings from the Survey on Generative AI and Open Source Software Development(Machine Learning/AI2 track room - Ballroom C) As Generative AI (GenAI) transforms software engineering, its impact on the unique collaborative dynamics of Open Source Software (OSS) remains poorly understood. We develop a novel survey that bridges that gap by examining how GenAI shapes OSS development and maintenance.
